Sydney, Australia [Monday 2nd March 2026] Digital forensics and incident response specialist, Forensic IT, welcomes industry veteran, Christopher Hatfield as Executive General Manager, strengthening its leadership as cyber incidents increasingly escalate into legal, regulatory and board‑level events.
Chris joins Forensic IT with deep experience advising corporates, law firms and regulators on complex investigations, litigation and data‑driven risk. Most recently, he was the Managing Director at FTI Consulting, where he specialised in forensic technology, digital forensics and e-discovery across multi‑jurisdictional matters. Infotrust’s Managing Director and Group CEO, Julian Challingsworth, said the appointment reflects a shift in how organisations are responding to cyber and data risk.
“Cyber incidents now sit squarely at the intersection of technology, law and governance,” Julian said, “Chris brings global forensic experience and the executive‑level judgement needed to help boards and legal teams navigate high‑pressure, high‑stakes situations with confidence.”
Under Chris’s leadership, Forensic IT will continue to expand its national DFIR capability, integrating incident response, digital forensics and expert witness services with Infotrust’s broader cyber security operations.
